Update to VBS 2012

A change has been made to this year’s VBS program, due to the extreme lack of adult availability to volunteer the week of June 25^th through June 29^th.  This is in large part because of the new summer CFP sessions.  Many churches have struggled with attendance for adults and children for a week long VBS event when  summer CFP has been instituted – St. Susanna has experienced the same situation.   Therefore, we have had to find doable way to provide a safe and fun-filled VBS event! 

      So, for this summer the alternative we will be providing is a weekend VBS called  “Rocky Point Lighthouse”.  The key bible verse is:  "The Lord lights up my darkness."(2 Samuel 22:29).  If focuses on Jesus as our way!

    It will begin on Friday August 4^th at 5pm with a family hot-dog cook-out in the school cafeteria.  The program will begin at 5:45 to 8 pm that evening.  It continues on Saturday morning, August 5th, 9:30-noon.   We will have a “celebration” at the Sunday 11 am mass with music from our time together.

     The cost for the weekend VBS program is $20.00 or $50.00 per family.  This includes food, bracelet, crafts and an outreach project including a CD .

If your child was already registered for the VBS in June and they will be participating in the Rocky Point Lighthouse VBS on August 3/4 please e-mail Jodi Tucker, so that she may update the registration and forward the difference in cost.  If your child will not be participating in the weekend VBS in August please e-mail Jodi Tucker, a full refund of the registration fee will be made.
