Hospital and Nursing Home Ministries

West Chester Hospital -  One week a month Eucharist Ministers share in taking Communion to and visiting with the Catholic patients at West Chester Hospital.

Mason Christian Village Retirement Center - Communion Services are celebrated and lead by St. Susanna parishioners on a rotating basis each Sunday morning at the retirement village.

Professional Networking - is a business networking ministry developed to facilitate connections between parish community members.  Our goal is to allow for professional exchanges of ideas, business trends and career opportunities.  We aspire to be a resource for all professional parishioners -- employed, small business owners, unemployed, and underemployed.   We meet on the second Friday of every month at 7:30 AM in the Conference Room in the undercroft of the church.    Join the group on LinkedIn.   Contact:  Julie George, 398-9802 or jgeorge@baldwingilman.com.

 

Intercessory Prayer Group meets to pray for St. Susanna Parish – its members, ministries and programs. Contact: Lorraine Routenberg – 398-9536.

 

Men’s Prayer & Fellowship meets for prayer, reflection and mutual support as men of God, in the parish office basement on the first and third Saturday of each month from 7:30 AM-9:00 AM. Contact: Bill Bross – 777-6069

 

Prayer Chain offers prayers for specific intentions requested by parishioners. Pray-ers are always welcome to become a member of the chain and a phone call begins a chain of spiritual support to those in need. Contact: Kathy Mussman – 777-5981.

 

Risen Life Community Prayer provides weekly prayer gatherings every Saturday morning to strengthen relationship with the Holy Spirit and “Life in the Spirit,” a weekly seminar for seven weeks once a year to encourage an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. Small Communities of Faith enables parish members to come together in more intimate group settings. Each group meets to help foster the experiences of love and faith in our Parish. Contact: Jeff Davis- 398-3821 ext 3149 or davisj@stsusanna.org .

 

Worship Commission assesses and evaluates the liturgical life and ministries of the parish in accordance with the documents of Vatican Council II and the leadership of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. This commission promotes active participation of the faithful and directs liturgical style, the training of liturgical ministers, the work of the sacristan and the suitability of the liturgical environment.  Contact: Fr. Peace and Justice Commission invites the parish to works of charity and justice. The commission educates the faithful about Catholic social teaching and coordinates material assistance for the poor and opportunities for social action.  Contact Susan Hack 398-3821 ext 3169 or hacks@stsusanna.org

Marriage Sponsor Couple Program coordinates a couple-to-couple approach to marriage preparation. Trained volunteer married couples meet with engaged couples to better prepare the engaged couple for marriage. Sponsor couples host the engaged couple in their home from three to six times, depending on the length of their sessions. Contact: Jeannine Frank, 398-3821 ext 3104. 

 Retrouvaille provides a working weekend for marriages that are experiencing serious difficulties. The strictly confidential program is open to any couple in which both spouses are willing to cooperate. Contact: Mary & Dan Rader – 398-3137

Welcoming Committee is present at the Information Desk  following all masses once a month and registers new parishioners. Contact: Eileen Compton – 777-4140

Worldwide Marriage Encounter provides a weekend designed to give Catholic married couples the opportunity to re-discover each other and together focus on their relationship. Contact: Therese & Greg Martin, 398-8823

 

 

 

 

Pastoral Council formulates the vision of the parish through three avenues – 1) development as a faith community of prayer and faith sharing, 2) long-range pastoral planning promoting the spiritual renewal of the parish, and 3) recommendations to the pastor and pastoral staff. Members are nominated to a term of three years. The council meets the third Tuesday of the month. Contact: Chris Kreger, 398-3821 ext 3106
