Women's Association Service Projects

Parish Garage Sale

The largest event held each year by the Women's Association is the Parish Garage Sale. St. Susanna's Women's Association has sponsored this Garage Sale for over 35 years. It is usually held in early June, and has been located in the Meyer Center since 2006. It is a huge undertaking, requiring countless hours for planning the sale, recruiting volunteers, receiving donations, pricing merchandise, holding the sale, and cleaning up when the sale is over. We need your help to make future garage sales even more successful. Save us your items for donations, volunteer to help with the sale, and come shop at the sale! For more information, contact Dottie Diller at 398-8337.

Baptismal Bibs

The Women's Association coordinates the making of all Baptismal Bibs that are given to the imfants of the parish during the Sacrament of Baptism. These bibs are handmade white garments, embroidered with the Chi Rho symbol. The volunteers cut the white material, trace the designs, embroider the symbol and letters and sew the lace edging. Packets of materials and supplies are available from the Parish Office or from Lucille Cumbers. For more information, contact Lucille Cumbers at 398-1134.

Parish Christmas Cards for Flowers

The Women's Association sponsors large Christmas cards with the signatures of donors to the Christmas Decoration Fund. All parishioners are encouraged to use the assigned envelopes to make a donation to this fund. This helps to pay for the holiday decorations in the church, so all at St. Susanna enjoy the beauty of the celebration of the birth of Christ. For more information, contact Shirley Williams at 398-1206.
