2021 Parish-Wide Lenten Endeavor
The FON Committee would like to express much gratitude and thankfulness for your generosity to the Lenten Endeavor. We were able to build Friendship with Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Uganda by providing an Easter Banner filled with Easter messages from you, St. Susanna Parishioners.
This banner was hung at Our Lady of Perpetual Help as well as the 20 out-stations. The banners were printed in-country providing support to the local community. This same banner graced our gathering space this Easter so that we could be in solidarity with our brothers and sisters from OLPH. A box filled with hundreds of greeting cards was also sent to OLPH to share with their parishioners kind Easter messages from the students of St. Susanna School, Preschool, CCD and Sunday School.
A physical need identified by OLPH is the ability to provide clean water to their community. This Lent, we also had a Fund-Raising to help with a future water system project. Through your generosity, we were able to collect $28,301.75. Specific plans are being made regarding the appropriate type of water system for their area; we will let you know the impact that these funds have made on their community.
Please continue to pray Our Mutual Prayer that our relationship with OLPH will continue to grow and be spiritually fruitful for both St. Susanna and OLPH. Copies of the prayer can be found at the Welcome Desk in the Gathering Space of the church.
