Moms’ Group, fondly referred to as SMMG, offers a variety of opportunities and ways to get involved. These are some activities that are available through SSMG:
Monthly Meetings: Our monthly meetings are held September through May. We typically meet on Thursday evenings in the St. Jerome Room at St. Susanna. Meeting topics/activities vary from month to month, allowing for service projects, guest speakers, and time for parish moms to socialize and connect with one another. The monthly meeting is a great opportunity to come together as Catholic women on a journey of faith, and to join others in growing closer to Christ. Moms at all stages of motherhood (expecting, working, stay-at-home, and everything in between) are welcome!
Service Projects: SSMG is a group of moms in action who volunteer time and talent to the parish, outreach programs, and charitable organizations.
St. Susanna Festival: We staff booths and fill a basket to be raffled off during the festival.
Easter Baskets: We assemble Easter baskets to donate to families in need each spring.
Adopt A Family: Moms purchase and wrap gifts that are then donated to local struggling families at Christmas time.
Helping Hands: We prepare meals for fellow SSMG members who have recently welcomed a new baby or are experiencing hardship.
Fellowship: Get togethers, events, and child-centered activities are planned throughout the year, offering us a chance to connect, relax, and have fun!
Kids Day Out: Outings at kid friendly locations in the Cincinnati area.
Kids Holiday Parties: SSMG hosts 3 Kids holiday parties at Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. Spouses welcome!
Moms Night Out: Put the kids to bed and enjoy some quality time with other moms.
Book Club: Meets every other month. Book choices are selected by members and the group meets bimonthly at a member’s home or a local coffee shop.
Faith Formation: SSMG provides opportunities to share and enrich our faith. We set aside time to help busy Moms reflect on God’s love and pray together.
Bible Study/Adult Faith Opportunities: We encourage our members to grow their faith by participating in one (or more!) of the many faith enrichment programs offered by the parish throughout the year.
Traveling Mary: A beautiful statue of Mary is available as a tangible reminder of our Lady’s love for us and the Lord.
