Before being approved to work with youth in our parish or school ALL adults (18+) must complete the SafeParish™ training and complete an online background check.

As part of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and St. Susanna's commitment to keeping children safe, the SafeParish™ safe environment program is a requirement for all adult volunteers.  ** Adults wanting to volunteer at/for/with St. Susanna should contact Cathy Meyer, Safe Environment Coordinator, at meyerc@stsusanna.org BEFORE beginning this process.**

All adults who would like to volunteer with children's activities in any of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati parishes, schools or organizations must participate in online SafeParish™ Training (the session lasts approximately 3 hrs.) of Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse. SafeParish™ educates adults who work/volunteer with or around children on the vigilance and steps necessary to protect children from child sexual abuse. Trainees learn how to be safe adults - vigilant, educated people who protect children and young people by building a culture of safety. 

Along with initial training each adult must complete quarterly training in order to remain in compliance with the requirements of the Decree on Child Protection.  And an online Background Check must be approved by Selection.com before volunteering with children.

If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, please report it! Call 855-O-H-CHILD (855.642.4453), an automated telephone directory that will link callers directly to a child welfare or law enforcement office in their county. Please provide the child protection agency with as much information as possible. Children Services screens all reports to determine if there is enough information to investigate.
