Wine, Women, & the Word

All women 21 and older are invited to join us for Wine, Women, & the Word on Tuesday, November 10th, at 7:00pm in the School Cafeteria. Please bring a bottle of wine or an appetizer to share.

Women's Prayer Breakfast

Ladies, join us for our Annual Prayer Breakfast on November 21st at 9:00am in the Meyer Center (begin your day with 8:00am Mass in the church), sponsored by WOW/Women of the Word.

Returning this year is Jeanne Hunt, author, speaker, and so much more! The topic is “Prayer.” Jeanne will bring us new insight into how to pray more fully. A light continental breakfast will be provided!

Women of the Word (WOW)

Our mission is to provide, empower and encourage the women of St. Susanna Church (age 18 and older) to grow with us in faith, spiritual and personal growth, fellowship and service throughout all stages of life. All we do is through the Glory of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

What are some of the activities and events that take place?

We have a Prayer Breakfast, Retreat, several social activities, a Christmas Dinner, and an end-of-year Summer Picnic.

Also, WOW has run the Annual St. Susanna Parish Garage Sale for many years. We have been fortunate to have great success. A separate Garage Sale committee handles planning and welcomes anyone willing to volunteer.

Does it cost to join WOW?

No, all women are free to join.

Do you have to be a parishioner?

We welcome all parish members, friends, and family.

Where do our funds go?

WOW donates several charitable gifts from Garage Sale profits to the Schuh Center, St. Vincent de Paul, and other charities. We also helped fund the church’s financial needs in the past, such as a new organ, songbooks, and new carpeting.

Want to get more involved?

The WOW board meets quarterly in the church’s Undercroft to plan future activities and events and, as needed, approve requests for financial assistance. An elevator is available.
